Family Place Workshop: Music, Play, and Health
Friday, November 5, 2021
Expanding the traditional role of children's services, the Family Place Library builds on the knowledge that good health, early learning, parental involvement, and supportive communities play a critical role in young children's growth and development. We offer a place that is welcoming and appropriate for children, where parents can connect with resources, programs, and services offered at the library and other family service agencies. The workshop is designed for children 1-3 years and their parents and caregivers. Younger siblings may attend with a registered toddler. The workshops will be very informal, play-based, and child-driven. A resource professional will be introduced each week. They will speak informally with parents, addressing concerns parents may have about their child's development as it pertains to the resource professional's expertise. The workshops will be offered twice on that day: 9:00am-10:00am and 11:00am-12:00pm. Registration begins October 1st
