The City is soliciting Request for Proposals (RFP) from experienced and qualified professional legal firms or individuals wishing to serve in the capacity of City attorney and WEDC attorney on an at will contractual basis. The City seeks an attorney(s) who will provide clear, understandable, and independent legal advice. The firm/individual(s) must be qualified to provide expertise in the areas of, but not limited to, general municipal law, land use, personnel and labor relations, open meeting and conflict of interest laws, municipal Type B corporation and economic development law as well as and other matters as they arise.
Preference will be given to those submittals demonstrating extensive experience in municipal law and economic development law. The successful attorney(s) shall possess sufficient resources to ensure demands for the City and WEDC’s legal needs will be met in a timely manner.
Questions regarding the Request for Proposals will be accepted until 2:00PM (CST), Friday, September 3, 2021.
Proposals will be accepted until 4:00PM (CST), Friday, September 17, 2021, in the City of Watauga Finance Department, 7105 Whitley Road, Watauga, Texas 76148. Proposals will not be accepted after the closing date and time.
