2. The Watauga Police Department will host a Citizen Police Academy beginning in August 2021. This FREE class meets once a week in the evening during the week, typical times are 6PM to 9PM. The entire program is 10 weeks long and ends early October. The CPA class is for those that live or work in Watauga and allows the citizen an inside look at Watauga PD. This is also the first step for the citizen to join our Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) and Watauga Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association programs.
