Watauga Flyers

The Watauga Flyers have been flying their indoor model airplanes as a club for over 25 years. There are two distinct groups. The Free Flyers build their own stick-and-tissue, rubber band-powered model airplanes. These small models are very challenging to build and fly well. The club members strive to improve their building and flying skills as a lifetime hobby. They have also hosted many major indoor model meets and new flight endurance records have been made there. The second group is the Remote Control Flyers who fly various small, electric-powered aircrafts, including a variety of fixed-wing aircrafts, quad-copters, and helicopters.
