Automated External Defibrillators (AED)

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm.  AEDs are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest, which is a condition in which the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating.

The Watauga Fire Department is committed to the safety of all who visit, travel, or reside within the City of Watauga.

If you have a device that is not listed, please take a moment to register your AED device with us.  Also, we would like to know when an AED device is used.
